The 2026 Support Staff Research Enhancement Award is now accepting nominations. This award is a joint initiative of NASA and the Office of the Vice-President (Research) to recognize research support staff who consistently contribute to the success of the University by embodying the University’s institutional values.
All active support staff, whether operating or trust funded, who provide direct research support to their faculty/department/unit are eligible to be nominated
Two awards of $1,000 each and a plaque of recognition are presented annually. Recipients can hold this award only once in their career at the University of Alberta.
You can read the full terms of reference and application process. To nominate a colleague, log in using your CCID to submit a nomination form. A nomination template is available to work on your responses offline before submission. The deadline for nominations is October 2, 2026.
