Edmonton Journal: CSJ worried it could lose out on millions without funds from province

This Edmonton Journal article outlines concerns that the University of Alberta’s Campus Saint-Jean (CSJ) may miss out on federal funding because the province won't match the funds.

In its April 2021 budget, the federal government earmarked $121.3 million over three years for post-secondary institutions teaching French in communities where it is a minority language.

Though Ottawa hasn’t said how much of that would be available for Alberta, any grant would require matching funds from the provincial government and students are not convinced that the province is going to pony up the cash required to qualify for the federal money.
